AMECA

Is one of the oldest associations in Mexico; its founders are the initiators of the national cannabis march, which is attended by more than 30,000 people a year. They are the leaders of the Mexican Cannabis Movement, who started El Platon, the first cannabis garden outside the Senate. Today it is the only consumer-free space thanks to its activism for consumer rights.

AMMCANN

The first association of doctors and researchers that has managed to have an important participation as congress advisers and develop proposals for the modification of the general health law. Its first president, Dr. Gady Zabicky, is now the director of the National Commission Against Addictions (CONADIC). To date, they have trained and certified more than 100 doctors in the country.

CANNATIVA

For more than 6 years they have been giving educational workshops in various Latin American countries, generating the largest database of patients, doctors and those interested in the industry.

This non profit was born as a result of the first legal protection for the import of a medicinal cannabis product for the girl Grace in 2016; this event started the strongest activism by patients and families for a medicinal regulation.

ANICANN

Has achieved a constant presence in the most important media outlets. They have a column dedicated to cannabis in Forbes and El Universal. In addition to showing great work in the development of educational materials for society. They are members of the National Agricultural Congress.

AMENIC

They present the first citizen initiative called “SomosAnna”, collecting more than 60,000 signatures. In addition to having already processed more than 150 permits for personal cultivation and processed permits for the first medical prescription books for cannabis.

PROCANNA

First association to focus on the sustainable development of the industry. They are currently working with marginalized communities, implementing regenerative agriculture systems to generate a circular model that allows the 17 points of sustainable development established by the United Nations to be addressed in a timely manner. In addition, they supported the legal process for the approval of the first national seed registry.

MOVIMIENTO POR LA LEGALIZACIÓN 4/2020

It is the group with the largest number of representatives of companies and associations, as well as health professionals and opinion leaders. They have actively participated in the political lobbying and cannabis education in the country through the different platforms of the participants. It is an active group of more than 120 people who maintain professional communication and discussion about the legislative processes and the industry in general.

CMCC

The Mexican Council of Cannabis and Hemp has actively participated in legislative lobbying; they are currently members of the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry - CANACINTRA.

CONSEJO REGULADOR DE LA CANNABIS

This association is in development; Its main objective will be to promote good practices, monitor and control the planting, production and commercialization of cannabis in Mexico.

CONIDEBID

The National Council for Research and Development of Bio-Derivatives has actively participated in lobbying and in the inclusion of scientific research without limitations, traceability and high quality standards, as well as good practices in medicinal cannabis, both in the regulation of Health as in the Law. Presenting also, the proposal of regulation of industrial hemp separately.
